Silil Choir

The Silil Choir is much more than a musical group: it's a source of personal growth and a means of expression for all its members. Choral music not only fosters teamwork but also promotes discipline and creativity. The choir members invest their free time in an enriching activity, socializing in a healthy environment that keeps them away from risky situations.

 

Founded in 2017, the Silil Choir began with children and teenagers aged 7 to 15. Over the years, it has evolved to meet the needs of the community. Since 2023, the choir has been directed by the talented and renowned soprano singer Mia Monforte and has expanded its membership to include people of all ages. Currently, it has 18 singers who rehearse for three hours a week.

 

The Silil Choir has had the honor of performing at various events, offering a multicultural repertoire in Spanish, Mayan, Latin, English, and Japanese. Its ability to blend different languages and styles has made it a unique musical project that enriches the culture of our community.

 

Any donation, large or small, helps keep this valuable program active, which continues to provide artistic development opportunities for our youth and adults.
